Weight loss surgery is not appropriate or necessary for everyone. Our Weight Management Program also offers you access to individual counseling with a Registered Dietitian. Our experts can make recommendations on healthy eating and other lifestyle issues associated with weight loss and long-term weight management.

We also offer periodic educational programs taught by professionals on the Weight Management Program Team. Our programs focus on nutrition, the psychology of change, stress management, exercise, as well as the emotional aspects of weight loss.

Our Diabetes Center is currently offering a "Stepping it Up" program, which can help you develop an action plan for a healthier lifestyle. This six session program will focus on steps you can take to reduce your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.  For more information, check out the program details on the MidState Calendar of Events.

You can also receive free E-Newsletters that discuss health and wellness topics by signing up at MyMidState. Just go to www.midstatemedical.org/MyMidState.
