Bariatric Surgeon

Nicholas Verdura, MD is a Board Certified General Surgeon specializing in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Weight Loss Surgery. Dr. Verdura earned his medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine and completed his surgical residency training at Waterbury Hospital.

He is also Fellowship-trained in Gastrointestinal/Minimally Invasive Surgery from Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The specific bariatric procedures he will be offering are laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, and laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. Dr. Verdura is fluent in Italian, and can read and converse in Spanish.
